Francesca Magnone

Francesca Magnone, 71 of Weirton died Monday April 30, 2001 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on September 10, 1929 in Calabria, Italy, the daughter of the late Joseph and Domenica Porco Pulice. Francesca retired as a cook from the Weirton Geriatric Center and was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. Her husband, Mario, whom she married on April 28, 1948, survives. Her son, Joseph Magnone of Boston, MA and her two daughters Jo Ann Brill and Mrs. David Teresa “Terri” Cline both of Weirton and her four grandchildren, also survive. Visitations will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Thursday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Saint Paul Cemetery Mausoleum.
