Frank “Art” Porco. 72, of Weirton passed away Tuesday July 2, 2019, at the UPMC Montefiore Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA. A son of the late Giovanni and Modesta Patrizio Porco, Frank Arthur was born on November 24, 1946, in Belmonte Calabro, Italy. At the age of 8, Art traveled with his family to America. He graduated from Weirton Madonna High School in 1966, and furthered his education at West Liberty State College. He was employed at Weirton Steel for 33 years, where he worked as a clerk in Production Planning in the Strip Steel. After retiring from Weirton Steel, Frank Arthur continued his career as an Ambassador for Mountaineer Park and Gaming Resort. In his free time Art loved traveling, golfing, watching sports and attending Weirton Madonna sporting events, but nothing compared to time he cherished with his parents, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and their families. He will always be remembered for his loving generosity. He was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus 3734. Art will be remembered with love by his sisters, Rosemarie Porco and Angela Contumelio; his brothers, Carmine Porco (Loredana) and Sam Porco (Josie) all of Weirton; his nine nieces and nephews; and his ten great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday 1-4 and 7-9 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Entombment will follow at Saint Paul Cemetery.
