Frank J Malick

Frank J. Malick, 81, of Weirton, died Monday July 2, 2001 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in Wheeling, WV on March 13, 1920, a son of the late Robert Malick and Teresa Verbenich Malick. He was also preceded in death by his wife Elsie Jean Kacer Malick in April, 1981; his companion of 22 years, Winifred Bedford on December 25, 1999; one brother; and five sisters.
Frank was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a millwright with 43 years of service. He was a member of the Wintersville Church of Christ, where he was also a trustee, the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, and a 60 year member of the Croation Fraternal Union. Frank served his country in the Navy during WWII and was stationed on the U.S.S. Hernden.
He is survived by his son, F. Mark Malick and his wife Ann South Malick of Hudson, OH; a brother, John Malick of Maine; a sister Catherine Yuhas of Arlington, VA; and two grandchildren, Mary Frances Malick and Kacer Malick of Hudson, OH. His is also survived by Winifred’s family: Gerald and Virginia Fornwalt of Weirton; Louis and Donna Bedford of Plain City, OH; Jerry and Lori Fornwalt, Todd and Shellie Fornwalt, and Jeffrey Fornwalt, all of Weirton; Kyle, Carter, Claudia, Cole, Alicia, and Courtney Fornwalt, all of Weirton; and Lane and Talitha Bedford of Plain City, OH.
There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held 1 PM Thursday, July 5, 2001 at the Wintersville Church of Christ with Pastor Steve Alexander officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
