frank krapa

It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Krapa III announce his passing on Tuesday March 28th, 2023, at the age of 74.

Beloved husband of Annette (Orecchio) Krapa and loving father to Frank Krapa IV (Tammy) Matthew Krapa, Joseph Cox (Leah) and Amanda Ciocca (Matt).

He was born on February 25, 1949, in Wheeling WV to Frank Krapa Jr and Helen (Nosal) Krapa.

He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren Anna Krapa, Victoria and Brandon Krapa, Audrina Cox, and Angelina and Santino Ciocca.

Frank graduated from St Johns Central High School and earned a degree in Engineering from Ohio University in Athens. He was employed by Wheeling- Pitt and Weirton Steel where he was a member of the 25-year club, retiring from US Steel at the age of 62.

Frank was an avid train aficionado who enjoyed collecting and designing model railroads.

He took pleasure in Steeler Sundays and watching the Penguins.

Frank was a jack of all trades and mastered them all. From building their home and making furniture to keeping his landscape perfectly manicured.

But above all he loved his family fiercely and would protect them at any cost. He was always a phone call away to help with any project they needed.

He is predeceased by his parents, his twin sister Linda, and his 4 fur babies, Bella, Sophia, Mia, and Sissy.

He was Catholic by faith and attended St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Friday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton.

Fr. Tony Thurston will preside.

Memorial contributions may be made to Click Here or to the Hancock County Animal Shelter.

  3. Candle Selection 3Frank was always cheerful, and back in the 70’s when anyone needed help on #3 Pickler he would jump in to lend a hand. May God bless him and his family. 🙏

  4. Dear Annette & Family,
I know the Pain & “Hell” that you are going through!
Frank was a loving, gentle person that I knew all my life, & the loss of his physical presence now comes from memories & pictures 💔
But his spiritual presence will always be in your
    heart❤️

  5. Candle Selection 3Most sincere sympathies to Annette and your family. Sorry for your loss. One thing that I will always remember is his kindness to my daughter when she was little and you guys would watch her sometimes when I had to work late. He called her Rosemary even though her name was Natalie. Natalie/Rosemary was sad to hear of his passing. Rest in peace Frank.

  6. Candle Selection 1Sending prayers and hugs from your (Theodore Nosal’s family) cousins in MI, CO and CA.
    Rest In Peace😇 Frank ☮️✝️💟
