Gazzaley M. "Abby" Abdo, a lifelong resident of Weirton, WV, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021. He was 67.
Gazzaley was born on June 10, 1953, one of four children born to Mohamed and Elsie Harezey Abdo.
Abby graduated from Weir High School in 1971 and went on to work at Weirton Steel, where he retired at 38 years of service.
In his free time, Abby enjoyed riding his Harley. He often would participate in poker runs to help support local charities. Abby also enjoyed fishing and boating on Tappan Lake, Lake Erie, and Put In Bay. He cherished the times with his loving family and friends and could not wait to grill out and treat them to a good time.
Abby could be described as a huge Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. Most of all. He will always be remembered for his love that he had for his family.
Gazzaley was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be remembered with love by his sisters, Fatima Abdo, Salema (Robert) Crawford, and Ameana Abdo; his nieces and nephews, Darlene, Bobby, Charna, and Tyra Crawford.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton.
He will be laid to rest on Monday at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton.

Dear family of Abby, I have known Abby for many years, since high school. We shared so many laughs and fun times. He was always a generous, loving and kind good friend. He will be missed. He was an angel on earth and is now an angel in heaven. May God bless your family with peace.
I remember Gazzaley from high school, he was a good man, so sorry to hear that he is gone. Condolences to his family and those he loved.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Gazzaley. My name is Bonnie Haspel Sanders. I lived on Clearview Avenue in Weirton, I remember all of your family , you are all wonderful people. Your brother was six years younger than me. He was friends with my two Brothers, Dan and Ron Haspel. I have not seen any of your family for many many years . I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. He was a very nice young man. I am reading the obituary and, I can see that he loved his family. Keep his memories close within your Hearts. Memories of the younger years flooded my mind when I first met Gazzaley and his parents in the early 60s when we were just kids. All my condolences to his devoted sisters; Fatima, Salema, Ameana, and the entire family. His existence will be forever cherished. Rest in Heavenly Peace Gazzaley.

A man with a heart of gold. Kind and loved by all. I have many wonderful and happy memories of Abby and his orange van.
