George Doboski, 91, of Weirton, WV died Tuesday October 4, 2005 at his home. George was born on April 24, 1914, in Weirton, WV, the son of the late Steve and Helen (Bozoka) Doboski. He was also preceded in death by his four brothers, Steve, Andy, Ernie and Paul Doboski; his sister, Helen Bartolovich, and his grandson John David Doboski. George retired from the Weirton Steel Corporation with 461/2 years of service. George participated in extensive training in Japan to start up the number 9 Tandem Mill, which he was the Head Roller. George was a member of the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 3734 Fourth Degree Assembly; Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn S. (Krena) Doboski, whom he married on May 18, 1940; his son, George D. Doboski of Battle Creek, MI; his daughter, Kathleen M. Mrvos of Weirton, WV; his five grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew and Sara Doboski, Stacy Mrvos and Robert G. Mrvos, Jr.; nieces and nephews Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary 7 PM Thursday and the Fourth Degree Assembly will stand honor guard from 7-9 PM in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Friday at the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Steve Dube will preside. Interment will follow at the St. Paul’s Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church or Valley Hospice, Inc.
