  1. I was so shocked and saddened to hear of George’s passing. We went way back to when he moved to our neighborhood where we all hung out near the old Dairy Mart and on “the corner” and he fit right in to our group of friends. I remember George used to make me laugh my butt off. He was a good guy. My sincere condolences to his wife and daughters and family. I know what a terribble loss it is when we have to bury our children who are supposed to outlive us, and I can’t even imagine losing my husband. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. To George – thanks for the laughs and all the good times growing up. It’s been quite some time since I’ve seen you, but we are those “forever friends”. And thank you for serving our country for our freedom. You will me missed my friend. God Bless the DeGarmo family, and may He hold you all in the Palms of His Hands.

  2. This is all so shocking. We want the family to know all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. George was such a great guy and is so very missed by so many. He will always be remembered. He may not be here with us but I know 100% he would want everyone to celebrate his life. He would be the first one to start cracking jokes to lighten the mood and get everyone to smile 🙂 that is who he was! I know it is so hard when we lose someone so dear to us, in such a sudden and unexpected way. Again everyone is in our prayers… Love, Joey, Shelly, n boys

  3. So sad. George was like one of my own kids. He grew up in our neighborhood, after moving to Weirton. He was best friends with my son, Mike Britton and also a friend of my daughter, Liz. He was always funny and was a good dad to his 3 (small) children at that time. He had married Nona, and they were good friends with my son and his former wife, Alanna. Although he and Nona later divorce, and he remarried, they were all still good friends. He was too young to die. He has 3 lovely daughters and grandson. Hopefully, they will get through this and know that their dad loved them. Sometimes there are trials and tribulations when a family becomes broken, but remember girls, it will make you stronger. Your dad served his country and was well liked by many. He will be missed.

  4. George’s mother has been my dearest friend since childhood. I have lovely memories of George and his sisters, and my heart grieves that I cannot be there with all the family. George has reminded us all of the uncertainty and the poreciousness of our lives. May the Lord bless him eternally. All my love from Sybby.

  5. Dear Mickey, and the Complete DeGarmo Family, Just wanted you to know How much We are Praying for you at the most difficult time. 7. Mickey and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. May God Bless you at this time. Our deepest sympathy. Chris, Michelle, &CJ Reed
