
George Edward Skrab, Jr.

George Edward Skrab, Jr., 76, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Born April 1, 1938 in Weirton, he was a son of the late George Edward and Sophie Zarbska Skrab, Sr.
After 40 years of service, Mr. Skrab retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a feeder on the Galvanized Line. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the WSX 25-Year Club and also served in the United States Army.
George is survived by his brothers Robert (Sally) Skrab of Maryland and Tom (Linda) Skrab of Weirton; sister Dorothy Skrab of Weirton; three nephews, Michael, Brian and David Skrab; three nieces, Donna Ensor, Susan Mastrantoni and Beth Gilloon; loving friends Cindy and Mike Babasina and their children Kendall Hendrickson, Mary Eddy, Michelle Babasina and Michael Babasina, Jr.
Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Saturday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church with The Reverend Father Anthony G. Thurston officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton with Military Services being conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard.
