Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. “Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us everyday, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.”

  2. Ah, dear, dear Asklers, we are so sad to hear of the passing of your amazing husband, father, and grandfather. It is with great fondness that we recall his eternal smile and gracious heart each time we saw him. I cherish memories of visits to your home where my sister Leila and I always felt welcomed and loved. We know that a great faith in our Lord guided Mr. Askler throughout his life and helped him to persevere through the tragic loss of his beloved Gloria so early in her life. I picture her welcoming him “home” and both of them smiling down on their loving family as you celebrate the precious life of this dear man. All of the Asfours from France, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, and the eastern panhandle of WV are thinking of and praying for you. We love you!

  3. Sorry to see such a wonderful person depart. You have made our world a better place by your presence in it. You will be missed by many and by this priviledged Son-in-Law God Bless you George

  4. To my buddy George, one of the most generous and unselfish persons I have ever met! Not only were you a great neighbor, but a great friend. Going to miss you! I looked up to you like a mentor and a father.I am just so glad I had the privilege of knowing you!

  5. Uncle George….You will always be with us through the fond memories we have of you. We were pleased we got to visit last week before you left us. You will be truly missed, but never forgotten.

  6. Dear Aunt Mary and Family, We are so sorry for your loss. Uncle George will always be remembered in our hearts as a loving, giving, happy person. His family was his life. Uncle George will be missed. Love, Bernie and Patty

  7. Debbie and family, so sorry for your loss. I will always remember what a sweet man he was. He put up with us for many years playing kick ball in front of your house! With deepest sympathy,

  8. Georgette and family, I was so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I am sorry that I was unable to make the showing or the funeral as I go to Pittsburgh three times a week for lymphedema wraps and had to be there very early on the day of and couldn’t make the showing. Know that all of you are in my prayers and that I will especially keep your mom in my prayers. I feel so sad for all of you and knew your dad and sat behind him in church for years. My heart aches for all of you and I hope that you understand that if I could have been there for you I would have been. God bless and keep you in the palm of his hand while you endure your loss. Mary
