George K. Mills

George K. Mills, 67, of Weirton, died Sunday, January 5, 2003 at his residence. He was born August 22, 1935 in Colliers, West Virginia, son of the late George F. and Anna Postarkey Mills. George was also preceded in death by his sister Leotta Eberwein. After 30 years of service, George retired from Weirton Steel where he worked in the Boiler House as a repairman. He was a member of the WSX 25-Year Club and the Weirton Moose Lodge #688. He is survived by his sons, Jay Mills and Lisa Taylor of Weirton, and Chris Mills and his wife Laura of New Cumberland; daughter, Becky Smith and her husband Rick of Weirton; nieces and nephews, Kurt and Ray Eberwein of Cleveland, Ohio, and Teresa Cochran and Debbie Jenkins of North Carolina. George also has 5 grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00PM on Tuesday, January 7. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dana Snodgrass presiding. Interment will be in the Saint John’s Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.
