Gerald Means
August 15, 1943 ~ February 3, 2005
Gerald Means, 61, of Morgantown, WV, former long time resident of Weirton, WV died Thursday February 3, 2005, at the Morgan Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Morgantown, WV.
He was born on August 15, 1943, in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Howard S. and Genevra (Spray) Means. Gerald was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara S. (Bolock) Means, on May 17, 2000.
Gerald retired from the Sales Department of Weirton Steel Corporation. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany, during the Vietnam era.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his two sisters, Donna Getsinger and her husband Karl of Minnetonka, Minnesota, and Carol Henry and her husband Mike of Morgantown, WV; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday 7-9 PM, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.
Additional visitation will be 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church 3432 West Street, Weirton.
Rev. Nathan T. Gragg will preside.
Interment will follow at the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery, Weirton
Memorial contributions may be made to the West Virginia University Foundation Core Arboretum Endowment.
