Gloria Jean Kester

Gloria Jean Kester, 82, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born October 31, 1932 in Colliers, WV, a daughter of the late Terry and Sara Ella Robinson Birkhimer. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ervin Morris Kester in 1992 and brothers Jack and Gary Birkhimer.
Gloria worked as a nurse's aide at the former Weirton General Hospital and was a former member of the Oakland Presbyterian Church.
Gloria is survived by her sons David, Ronald and Terry (Bernadette) Kester all of Weirton; daughter Sharon Lahr of Goose Creek, SC; brother George Merkich; sisters Barbara Huff and Sandy Pawlock all of Weirton; 6 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated 1PM Saturday. The Reverend Jason Elliott will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
