Harold Earl Tingler
September 10, 1926 ~ September 14, 2015
Harold Earl Tingler, 89, of Weirton, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at his home. He was born September 10, 1926 in Weirton, a son of the late Emery and Elizabeth Green Tingler. He was also preceded in death by his son Mark Tingler, sisters Helen Truax, Violet Duffy and Thelma Rhodes, brothers Paul, Milford and Emery Tingler, Jr. and infant brother Freddie Tingler.
For 38 years, Mr. Tingler worked as a foreman for National Steel. He was a World War II veteran having served in the US Army. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 171, Scottish Rights, 32nd degree Masonic and the National Steel 25-Year Club. He also was a volunteer fireman. He enjoyed making wooden toys and spending time with his family. He was loved and will be missed by his friends and family.
Harold is survived by his wife Jeannine A. Fisher Tingler whom he married March 20, 1946; children Earla Tingler (Jim) Turcich of Plant City, FL and Tamara Tingler (Jim) Zanoni of Riverview, FL; grandchildren Dr. Jill (Steve) Pineda, Holly Turcich, Zachary Volpi and Priscilla Zanoni, Jennifer and Shane Tingler and two great-grandsons.
At this time, the family would like to thank Dr. Gary Hanson, Dr. Arthur Thomas and Susie & Bud Dalrymple for their love and friendship.
Visitation will be held Thursday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated 1PM Friday. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton where Weirton Masonic Lodge 171 will conduct Masonic Services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 3301 West Street, Weirton, WV 26062, Salvation Army, P. O. Box 2499, Weirton, WV 26062 or Amedisys Hospice, 1251 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.
To the Tingler family, we were neighbors years ago, and I wanted to pass on my condolences. May your memories provide some comfort. Kathy Baney
