Harry Marshall Wilson, Jr., 81, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford, Pennsylvania.
Born on June 17, 1945, in Fairmont, West Virginia, Harry was one of two children born to the late Harry M. Wilson, Sr. and Lillian Kincaid Wilson. He graduated from East Fairmont High School before answering the call of duty when he was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Harry proudly served his country as a member of an Air Assault, Air Mobile, Airborne Unit of the United States Army. His military service was among his greatest sources of pride, and throughout his life he remained a devoted patriot who deeply loved his country and his home state of West Virginia.
Following his honorable discharge, Harry returned home and worked for ten years at Titanium Metals in Toronto, Ohio. On October 1, 1976, he married Dolores Ann Ozelski. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with a daughter, twin sons, and later four grandchildren.
Harry went on to dedicate 39 years of service to Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, where he worked as a heater in the Coke Plant. Known affectionately by his coworkers as “Hungry Harry,” he was famous for always volunteering for an extra shift and for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
A proud veteran, Harry was a member of VFW Post 2716, where he served as Past Post Adjutant. He also served as Past Commander of American Legion Post 10 and was a life member of Moose Lodge 688. While not affiliated with a formal church, Harry was a Christian who prayed daily and lived his faith quietly through his love of family, country, and fellow veterans.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Ann Wilson, and his sister, Lillian Vermette.
He will be remembered with love by his daughter, Danielle (J.R.) Khory; his sons, Michael (Janine) Wilson and Ryan Wilson; his grandchildren, Ashton Khory, Kayla Khory, Justin Khory, and Laine Wilson.
