Harry P. Wade, 88, of Weirton passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family and dog Cookie, on Saturday June 20, 2015. He was born on March 23, 1927 in Copeland, VA., a son of the late Albert R. and Goldie May (Sloan) Wade. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years Doris (Hendershot) Wade, grandson Jeremy Ash and brother's Paige and Raymond Wade. Harry served in the U.S. Navy and worked at Weirton Steel for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, archery, gardening, golfing and wintering in Florida. He also enjoyed spending time with all five generations of his family. Harry is survived by his five children Terry Wade and companion Vi Strope of Silver Springs, FL, Linda Smith and husband Donald of Colliers, Judy Ash and husband David of Weirton, Bruce Wade and wife Sharon of Cadiz, OH and Michael Wade and wife Lianna of Colliers, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Per Harry's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Valley Hospice for the wonderful care provided and an extra special thanks to Jake.
