Harry V. Myers

Harry V. Myers, 82, of Weirton, passed away Monday, February 16, 2004 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born December 7, 1921 in McMechen, WV, he is the son of the late Harry Lee and Gertrude Ann (Definbaugh) Myers. Preceding him in death are his wife, Ruth L. (Carmichael) Myers, whom he married November 30, 1945 and who passed away January 30, 1997; brother, Page Myers and sisters, Gertrude Lyons, Mary Jayne Freshwater, Eleanor Yuhas and Betty Myers. After 30 years of service, Harry retired from the City of Weirton where he worked as a chemical technician. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weirton and served in the US Army Air Corps as a Medical Technician in the South Pacific. Harry’s survivors include his son, Harry Lee Myers and his wife Melanie and his granddaughter, Erin Myers, all of Weirton. There will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
