Helen J. (Oliver) Carpini of Weirton, passed away Sunday July 22, 2007, at the Trinity Medical Center West. She was born June 16, 1929 in Steubenville, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Paladino) Oliver. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Carpini, Jr., her brother, Norman Oliver and her sisters, Angeline Welshans and Ida Puzzuole. Helen was a wife and mother and worked for many years as a Tupperware Dealer, at Krogers and for Weight Ltd. She was active in the AARP and Four Seasons where she served as tour director for many years and made sure the trips were fun and exciting for all of her travelers. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church where she was a member of St. Paul’s Christian Mothers and a past Lecturer and Eucharistic Minister. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society, K of C Auxiliary, a member of the Board of Directors of the Weirton Senior Center Board and the Cursillo Movement. Helen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Anthony Carpini, Sr. of Weirton; two sons, Dominic Carpini, and his companion, Leslie Bacich, of Follansbee, Joseph Carpini, and his companion Tawny Boggs of Weirton, WV; two daughters, Angela Reinard and her husband Tim and Mary Lyons and her husband Gary all of Weirton; Also surviving is a brother, Vince Oliver and friend Carolyn Shaffer, and three sisters; Antoinette Oliver, Josie (Sam) Cekinovich and Rose (Butch) Mark and her sister in law Francis Oliver. The joy of her life, other than traveling with Tony, were her six grandchildren, Robert Reinard of Chicago, Christopher Reinard of Pittsburgh, Sara and Matthew Lyons of Weirton, and Casie and Jodie Carpini of Owings Mills, Md. Helen will be missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as her many dear friends. The family will receive friends ­­­_6-8_ PM Wednesday, and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Friday at St. Pauls Catholic Church with Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating.   17. I had to opportunity to work with Helen when she took her group on a New England cruise last year as well as a trip to Pittsburgh last fall. She was a lovely person, full of life and fun.
