Helen M. Olenick, 95, of Weirton died Saturday April 22, 2006, at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born on December 24, 1910, in Chicago, Ill, the daughter of the late Matt and Mary Mikulic Nicksic. Helen was also preceded in death by her husband George Olenick on May 26, 1979, and a brother Joseph Nicksic.
Helen was an employee of the Weirton General Hospital, until 1961, where she worked in the nursery. Most of all she was a homemaker, where she loved to cook, bake, sew, crochet, and take care of her family. Helen was a member of the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, and the C.F.U. Lodge.
She will be sadly missed by her family, who she loved dearly which includes; her two daughters, Helen M. and Anthony Carinci of Weirton, Marlene K.and George Phillips of Cleveland, OH; four grandchildren, Tina Carinci Morris and Jay of Wheeling, WV, Lisa Carinci Glaze and Ryan of Columbus, OH, Carla Carinci Bell and Mike of Toronto, OH, George M. and Samantha Phillips of Medina, OH; six great grandchildren, Mallory and Madison Morris, Griffin and Sienna Glaze, Isabella and Dominic Phillips; her canine companion Fuzzy.
Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 PM on Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton..
Interment will be at Saint Paul Cemetery.
