Helene Cooper

Helene Cooper, 56, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH. Born November 28, 1956 in Mt. Lebanon, PA, she was a daughter of Frank Lesneski and Betty Jean Garcia Lesneski of McDonald, PA. She was preceded in death by her brother Frank Lesneski, Jr., sister Marian Lesneski and three grandchildren Daniel Thomas Smith, Aelene Moore and Thomas Michael Moore.
Since 1997, Helene worked at The Gatsby Dining Room at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Gaming Resort. She had a passion for collecting porcelain dolls and shopping. She was a very talented crafter who truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Helene is survived by her husband of 36 years, Thomas Douglas Cooper; daughters BeaJay Cooper both of Weirton and Erica Dawn Cooper of Steubenville, OH; grandchildren Helene Marie Cofer and her father Matthew William Cofer, who was like a son to Helene and Caleb Alexander Moore; brothers Brian Lesneski of Cherry Valley, PA and David (JoEllen) Lesneski of McDonald, PA and sister Lynn (Warren) Clark of McDonald, PA.
Visitation will be held Sunday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be celebrated 11AM Monday. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
I loved everything about her…. she was nice, kind, and not the type to take any bull. Everybody including your family, Friends from the Gatsby, and such will miss you. R.I.P. my dear.
