henry bissell

Henry Robert Bissell, passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2024, at Weirton Medical Center. He was sixty-six years old.

He was born in Steubenville on June 9, 1958, one of three children of William Henry and Stella Brzniack Bissell children.

Henry graduated from Brooke High School in 1976 and was widely known as a jack of all trades who could fix anything. His talents led him to work for Sherwin-Williams and Lowes, where he was admired for his dedication and skill.

Beyond his professional life, Henry was a great listener who had a unique ability to calm anyone with his words. He found his path to spirituality and lived a life of wisdom and compassion.

A die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Henry’s enthusiasm for his favorite team was infectious.

However, it was his love for his family, especially his grandchildren, that truly defined him. He adored them and cherished every moment spent with them.

Henry leaves a legacy of kindness, patience, and an unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Henry was sadly preceded in death by his loving wife Toni Oliver Bissell who passed on September 9, 2006, brother William Bissell, and sister Della Covey.

Left to cherish his memory with an abundance of love and profound respect are his children, Kristin, and Robert Bissell both of Weirton, six grandchildren, and one grandchild on the way. Sisters Maryann (Gary) Roman of FL., and Sue Sheaffer of Follansbee.

Henry’s request for cremation will be honored.

He will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.

A Private Memorial Service will take place at the convenience of his family.

Henry will be buried with his wife Toni in New Cumberland Cemetery.
