Homer F. Flowers

Homer F. Flowers, 80, of Weirton, passed away Monday, June 08, 2009 at the Golden Oaks Residential Board and Care in Follansbee, WV. Born January 10, 1929 in New Matamoras, OH, he was the son of the late Frank and Maggie Meyers Flowers. He was also preceded in death by his sons Randy W. and David H. Flowers, a brother and four sisters. Mr. Flowers retired from Starvaggi Industries where he worked as a cement truck driver. He was Protestant by faith and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Homer is survived by his wife Leoma "Peg" Flowers, daughter Laura S. Spano and her husband Joe; grandson Randy W. Flowers all of Weirton and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 10AM until the 12 noon funeral services at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
