Irene Virginia Duvall, 92, of Weirton died Monday January 12, 2015, at the Weirton Medical Center. Born on March 31, 1922, in Wyatt, WV, Irene was a daughter of the late Ray Ralph and Jane Gains Yeater; she was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Collie, Junior Lee, and Clifton (Delbert) Yeater; and her two sisters, Pauline Groves and Augustine Underwood. Early in her career, Irene enjoyed cooking for the Sycamore one room schoolhouse in Doddridge County, WV. She retired from Weirton Medical, where she was a nurse's aide for twenty years. In her free time, Irene enjoyed quilting, baking, cooking, and tending to her flowers. She is survived by her son, Larry F. Duvall of Clarksburg, WV; her daughter, with whom she made her home with, Darlis Shuman; her four grandchildren, Kimberly Duvall Samuelson, Virginia Thomas, Pamela Knirsch and Tammy Shuman.; her four great grandchildren, Thadeus, Aimery, Crystal and Heather and two great great grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will follow at 8 PM. Pastor Donald Dague will preside. Additional visitation will be held Friday from 1 2PM at the Center Point Christian Church, Center Point, WV. Interment will follow in Center Point Cemetery.
