  1. Sharon,Randy & Gary: I note to express my sincere sorrow in the loss of your father. I am so grateful I spoke with him during the past few weeks. As you are aware, he was a good and decent man who wore his hats well…he was a respectful son, a loving brother, a devoted husband and father, a brilliant, dedicated physician, & a proud grandfather. He loved you children and was very proud of how loving and protective your mother was of you children… When I spoke with him recently I inquired about “the children”….his reply…”Annetta, I have wonderful children…you know, they were given much while they were growing up…it’s wonderful to see them give back so much today.” He often talked about how much he missed your mom, her infectious laughter, and her zest for life…she was his compliment. He expressed happiness that his three children were happily married…and oftentimes shared stories about growing up with his brothers..i.e., camping trips with “Mishka” (sp). He was grateful for his recent visit to Israel and the time spent with Alan..he said “He (Alan) was gracious enough to drop me off at the door… so that I didn’t have to walk so far”. He looked forward to the time spent with Shaon during the weekly trips to Synagogue in Pittsburgh, and said that Randy just “glowed” at her wedding. Whenever I inquired about Gary he would mention the grandchildren and say… “Gary and his family are doing well.” He was a man at peace & grateful with what life had afforded him…During one of our last conversations he said he had had a wonderful life. Anyone who knew him recognized his love for his wife and family. He loved the practice of medicine and never tired of gaining knowledge. He left an indelible mark on my life…he was my friend, he and your mom were kind to John & me. I will miss him…I will miss hearing him call me “Fernetta”…

Although I have not been in Weirton for many years, the Nach relationship with your family was a close one especially because of my parents, Ralph and Dora’s affiliation with the Synagogue in Weirton.
