Jackie L. Loy

Jackie L. Loy, 71, 0f Weirton died Friday, October 25, 2002 at his residence. He was born on April 27, 1931 in New Martinsville, WV, the son of the late Clarence and Sivila Wines Loy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Butcher Loy on May 24, 1990; a brother, Cecil, and two sisters, Virginia Butcher and Garnet Rush. Jackie retired as a crane operator in the tin mill of Weirton Steel Corporation after 32 years of service. He served his country in the United States Army, Jackie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, and the Weirton steel 25 year club. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Ray Loy of Weirton; his daughters, Mrs. (Matthew) Helen Ann Satkowski of Wellsburg, WV, and Mrs. David (Carolin) Carr of Weirton; three brothers, Harold and Eugene Loy of Dallas Texas, and Donald Loy of Moundsville, WV; five sisters, Helen Wood and Ruby Brown of Weirton, WV, Rosemary Tennant of Colliers, WV, Shirley Lyles of Dallas TX and Betty Warren of Canton, TX; five grandchildren, Melissa and Debbie Satkowski, Christina Carr, and Jayson and Jessica Loy. Visitation will be 6- until time of the funeral service at 8 PM Monday, at the First Church of the Nazarene 475 Colliers Way in Weirton. Rev. Dana Snodgrass will preside.
