jacqueline hawkins
Jacqueline Jean Hawkins of Weirton loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away under the watchful and caring staff at the Woodlands Assisted Living in Weirton on Monday, September 5, 2022. She was 82 years old. She was born on July 9, 1940, one of three children to Copher and Rosena (Lutz) Van Horn. Jacqueline was a faithful attendant of Cove Presbyterian Church and a member of the 1958 graduating class of Weir High School. She was employed at Weirton Medical Center as a nurse’s aide for over thirty years. She found much enjoyment in volunteering her time to the Hancock County 4H Club, painting and crafting at home, but her greatest joy was her loving family and the happiness they brought to her. In addition to her parents, Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Hawkins who passed on June 6, 2016, and brothers, Donald, and Roger Van Horn. Remembering her with love is her son Bruce (Linda) Hawkins of New Cumberland, her daughter Crystal Hawkins of Weirton, and grandchildren Kyle (Sara) Hawkins and Kaitlyn (Ryan) Herron. Jacqueline’s request for cremation has been honored. She will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at the convenience of her family.
