James Andrew Senker, 67, of Weirton, passed away, at his home, on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
Born on April 16, 1949, in Weirton, WV, James was a son of the late Michael and Dorothy (Ralich) Senker. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother in 1948.
Jim graduated from Weirton Madonna High School in 1967 and also from West Liberty State College in 1971 with a degree in Sociology.
Jimmy retired after a long career with Weirton Steel. He loved being with his family, especially watching the next generation growing up.
Jim was an avid reader and a passionate sports and sport's history enthusiast, especially in baseball, and all the sports teams from Weirton Madonna and Weir High School. He could often be found on his front porch listening to a baseball game on the radio.
His favorite pastime was socializing with his many friends, at areas near his home. He will always be remembered for living a very independent and happy life.
He is survived by his sister, Sara Senker (Stanley) Kaczmarek; his niece, Darla Kaczmarek (David) Osaba; his nephew and Godson, Michael Stanley (Linda) Kaczmarek; and his great nephews, Dylan Edward Osaba, Justin Lee and Evan James Kaczmarek.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Fr. Dennis Schuelkens Jr., will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV.

Jim’s family: I am very sorry for your loss. Jim graduated with my sister Frances (who passed away 5 yrs ago)…They were 3 yrs. older than me but Jim & I would reminisce occasionally of our Madonna days…Good guy! He will be missed. May the Lord help you all thru this painful time of life.

I attended Saint Joseph’s Grade School and Madonna High with Jimmy. He was smart and one of the nicest people in our class. I am very sad to learn of his passing and send my love and sympathy to his family. Sara, I also remember you very well.
Jim and I went to many baseball games together, Sunday afternoon games were his favorite. He is already missed . Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Ted Williams. We always talked about them like they were our friends. but Jim was my friend.
God Bless you cousin Jimmie. You were loving person and will be forever missed.
