James E. Kirkpatrick

James E. Kirkpatrick, 69 of Weirton, WV, formerly of Wheeling, WV, passed away July 4, 1014 at the Aspinwall Hospice Center from cancer related to his military service.
He was a proud Marine from 1963 to 1981, serving in Vietnam. Upon his military retirement, he worked at Nowak's Signs in Lansing, OH.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, William and Genevieve; a brother; a sister; his nephew, Jeff Brown; a great-nephew and a great niece.
He is survived by his niece Kim Brown and great-niece Emmalee Brown with whom he resided. He is also survived by friends and various family members.
Jim chose to donate his body to science so he may help in medical education and research. In lieu of a funeral service, a memorial service honoring Jim will be held 5PM Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the New Life Worship Center, 308 Penco Road, Weirton. A Military Honor Guard will be present from the American Legion Post 121.
