James E. Molnar, 87, of Weirton, died Monday, January 12, 2004, at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born September 19, 1916 in Gary, IN, son of the late Michael and Anna Pojanski Molnar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, James M. and Joseph D. Molnar, and brother Frank Molnar. James retired from National Steel, where he worked as a crane operator. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, and served his country as Coast Guard Specialist First Class, during World War II. He is survived by his wife Rose E. (Montisano) Molnar of Weirton; his sister, Anne Spoa of Elwood City, PA; and four grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton with a prayer service being held at 3:30PM. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 12:00 Noon, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Father Stephen Dube will preside. Interment will follow, at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Military services will be conducted by the Weirton V.F.W. Post 2716 Firing Squad, the Evertt Maki American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard and the Tri-State Marine Corps.
