James R. Carducci

James R. Carducci, 86, of Weirton, died May 15, 2001, at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born October 18, 1914, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a son of the late John Carducci and Josephine Petrella Carducci. He was also preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. James retired after 35 years of service from the Weirton Steel Construction Department where he worked as a cement finisher. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, St. Paul Holy Name Society, and the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. James was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Anna Balog Carducci, of Weirton; a son, James J. Carducci, of Weirton; and a sister. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Prayer services will be held 3:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be 11 AM Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
