jeanette dolata
Jeannette Adrienne (Spensky) Dolata of Weirton, WV, a loving and devoted mother passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Brightwood Center, in Follansbee, WV. She was 95 years of age. Jeanette was born in Weirton on September 24, 1925, to Stephen and Sophie Mscisz Spensky. She graduated from Weir High School and Steubenville School of Cosmetology. On May 18, 1946, Jeanette married Army veteran and purple heart recipient of World War II, Walter Dolata. Walter worked in the Blooming Mill of Weirton Steel and Jeanette took care of the home. A licensed beautician, Jeannette also operated a beauty salon in the lower level of their home. In their thirty-five years of marriage, they were blessed with one daughter. Walter passed away on November 20, 1981, at the age of 61 from complications of Multiple Sclerosis. Jeanette was a fun-loving person. She always had a smile on her face and her door was always open to others. She loved cooking and sharing her polish dishes with her friends, family, and the clients of her beauty salon. Being a hairdresser, she was naturally a good listener. Jeanette nourished her faith at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, Christian Mothers, and Choir. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Dolata, five brothers, and three sisters. Jeannette will be remembered with love by her daughter Cassandra; and many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at Saint Paul’s Cemetery on Wednesday. Rev. Fr. Tony Thurston will preside. Arrangements are under the care of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Share tributes at www.grecohertnick.com 304 748 3219
