Jeanette K. Ameredes Cronin

Jeanette K. Ameredes Cronin, 78, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008 in the Trinity Medical Center West. Born November 17, 1929 on the Island of Lesvos, Metylini, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Asimakis and Foto Triantofilou Katramados. Jeanette was also preceded in death by her husband Gus Ameredes in 1971, son Charles Ameredes in 2000 and her second husband Harold A. Cronin in 2004.
For 12 years, Jeanette worked as a school bus aide for the Hancock County Board of Education. She was a member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Weirton.
She is survived by her brother Pete Katramados of the Island of Lesvos, Metylini, Greece, sister Popi Komninos of Athens, Greece, niece Tina Tsirtsakis of Eden, NY, nephews Paraskevas and Asimakis Komninos of Athens, Greece, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 3528 West Street, Weirton on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 9AM until the 10AM funeral services. Reverend Father Dean Dimon will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
