Jeanne C. Kolanko, 75, of Weirton, WV died Sunday, June 1, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born on May 14, 1928, in Clearfield, PA, the daughter of the late Stewart and Leah (McClain) Carson.
Jeanne's love was teaching children. As a dental hygienist, she taught the children of the West Mifflin School District, to care for their teeth. Jeanne was the secretary for her family business, Tri State Rubber Sales for 15 years and a real estate agent for J.J. Guida Airport Realty for 7 years. She enjoyed playing Bridge and being involved in all her grandchildrens activities.
Jeanne was a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, C.R.H.P., Weirton Women’s Club Art and Garden Department, and numerous Bridge Clubs.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Theodore, whom she married on June 5, 1950; her three sons and their wives, John & Luanne of Highland, IN, Thad and Cindy of Port Saint Lucie, FL, and Robert (Bob) & Sono Kolanko, of Weirton, WV; her brother, William (Bill) Carson of Wintersville, NC; her sister, Judy Ball of Hagerstown, MD; her seven grandchildren, Mari, Megu, Curtis, Michael, Amy, Melissa, and Kelsey; her two great grandchildren, Electra and Hanna.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday at the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton, WV.
Rev. Fr. Tony Thurston will officiate.
Entombment will be in the Saint Paul Cemetery Mausoleum.
