Joan L. ''Toots'' Craig

Joan L. “Toots” Craig, 58, of Weirton, died Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, PA. She was born on February 27, 1944, in Martins Ferry, OH, a daughter of the late Robert E. Brown, Sr. and Jessie E. (Fray) Marshall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Dewey” Craig on February 25, 2002; one daughter, Linda Young Bonar; one step-daughter, Tina Marie Craig; and one step-son, Steven Craig. Joan was the owner and operator of the Joan’s Family Restaurant in Weirton for many years. Joan is survived by her step-father, Frank F. Marshall of Weirton; two sons, Thomas Young of Hayward, CA and Daniel Young of Sioux Falls, SD; one step-son, Michael Craig and his wife Debbie of Canton, OH; three step-daughters, Nancy Craig of Steubenville, OH, and Becky Craig and Pamela Craig, both of Ocala, FL; three brothers, Robert E. Brown, Jr. and his wife Charlene of Wintersville, OH, Thomas W. Brown of Sioux Falls, SD, and Jack L. Brown and his wife Penny of Weirton; two sisters, Sandy L. Glover and her husband Richard of Brookfield, OH and Theresa F. Young and her husband Lloyd of Wintersville, OH; 4 grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. A prayer service will be held 8:30 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Darrell Cashdollar presiding. A vigil service will be held 8:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with Father Kent Durig presiding. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. The funeral mass will be concelebrated by Joan’s nephew, Father Jason Glover, Father Kent Durig, and Father David Foradori. Burial will be at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.
