John J. Connovich, 64, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008 at his home. Born October 12, 1944 in Steubenville, OH, he was the son of Mary Laburda Connovich of Weirton and the late John E. Connovich. Mr. Connovich was self-employed, an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Weirton and an avid square dancer. In addition to his mother, John is survived by his son Ronald Connovich and his wife Faith of Lima, OH; daughters Deanne Manestar and her husband Ivan and Dana Smith and her husband Dave all of Greensboro, NC and Danielle Mihaltian of Westerville, OH; sister Mary Jo Long and her husband Jerry of Weirton; six grandchildren and long-time companion Linda Harper. Friends will be received Sunday, October 26 from 1 until the 2 PM funeral services at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Mr. Connovich's son, Ronald, will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 600 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062.
