John J. Rocchio, 74, of New Port Richey, FL formerly of Weirton, WV died Saturday February 17, 2006 at his home in Florida. John was born on June 15, 1932, in Weirton, WV, the son of the late Anthony and Mary Orecchio Rocchio. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Frank A. Rocchio. John retired from the Coke Plant of Weirton Steel after 30 years of service. He served his country in the US Army Infantry during the Korean War. John was a member of the Moose, Eagles, American Legion, VFW, and was a life member and past commander of the D.A.V. He is survived by his daughter, Paula A. McGrogan; his granddaughters, Amber N. and Rachael L. McGrogan; his sister, Ann M. Turani all of Weirton; his brothers, Anthony Rocchio of Sykesville, MD, and Dr. Joseph D. Rocchio of Cleveland, OH. Visitation will be 9:30 until 10:30 AM Saturday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton.
