John L. Gryskevich
January 20, 1949 ~ May 4, 2001
John L. Gryskevich, 52 of Weirton died Friday May 4, 2001 at his residence.
He was born on January 20, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, the son of Mrs. Jean (Perlowski) Gryskevich of Weirton and the late John Gryskevich, who passed away on November 15, 1973.
John retired with 26 years service at Weirton Steel in the transportation department as a truck driver and was a member of Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. Also he was involved with BSA Troop #31, and enjoyed being a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church.
He is survived by his wife Paula M. (Tomaszczyk) Gryskevich , whom he married on March, 1969. His two sons, Michael Gryskevich and his wife Kristen of Brownsburg, IN, Matthew Gryskevich of Weirton and a daughter Dr. Cheri Gryskevich of Weirton and two sisters Mrs. Ray (Reida) Lojszczyk of Weirton, and Mrs. Norm ( Deidre) Singleton 0f Kansas City, KS.
Visitations will be 1-3 & 7-9 PM Sunday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Monday at Sacred Heart of Mary Church.
Interment will be in Saint Paul Cemetery
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America Troop #31.
