John Norman Morris, Jr.

John Norman Morris, Jr., 72, of Salem, OH, formerly of Weirton, died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at the Trinity Medical Center West. He was born January 11, 1930 in Martins Ferry, OH, the son of the late J. Norman and Ada Wilmont Morris. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude “Trudy” Morris, on May 25, 1998, whom he married on October 17, 1959. Norman was the owner of the North Benton Dairy Bar of Salem and was the former owner & operator Mosblack’s Hobby Shop of Salem and formerly of Steubenville. He was a former employee of National Steel where he worked as an expeditor in the construction department. Norman was a former member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Weirton. He was a member of the Steubenville Lodge # 45 AF & AM. Surviving are his sons, John N. Morris, III of Salem, OH, Clinton William Morris of Colliers, WV, and David Karl Morris of Weirton; his sister, Barbara Jean Nieman of Weirton; 2 grandchildren, Clinton Andrew Morris and Erica Michelle Morris, both of Colliers; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton on Friday, November 22 at 11:00AM with Rev. Pelton Vandercoy officiating.
