John Puskarich

John Puskarich, 83, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born June 23, 1922 in Duquesne, PA, he was the son of the late George and Catherine Matajasic Puskarich. John was also preceded in death by his brothers Rudy, Tom and Marco Puskarich. With 30 years of Service, John retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a Roller. He was Catholic by faith and a member of the WSX 25-Year Club. John was an experienced pilot and loved to fly in his spare time. John served in the US Army during World War II. John’s survivors include his wife Shirley (Craig) Puskarich of Weirton; son William and his wife Mary of Canton, OH; brother George Puskarich; sisters Rose Puskarich and Maryanne Tassey all of Weirton and grandchildren Matthew, Heather and Tiffany. The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery where military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 and Weirton Honor Guard.
