I love you and will miss you, Uncle Jack.
We have lost a great writing talent. Jack was a very creative person, and we at West Virginia Writers were very proud of him for his many plays, most of which were produced. He was 84 when he wrote “How Still the River,†his first novel. I was honored that he sent it to me to read 18 months ago; I thought it was wonderful.
He bragged about a special study his family had prepared for him, where he was very comfortable; an excellent place to create his work. He even sent me a picture of it.
Jack was the best writer that I have known personally and I will always revere his memory.
