John Schmidt, Jr.

John Schmidt Jr., 65, of Colliers, WV, passed away peacefully at Weirton Medical Center on January 31, 2022. John was born in Lansdowne, PA, on July 6, 1956. He was one of four children born to the late John and Helen Schmidt. John worked as an aide and transportation officer for individuals with special needs at Merakey Allegheny Valley School in Coraopolis, PA. He enjoyed laughing, joking, and brightening the days of all who knew him. He will be remembered with love by his only son John P Schmidt; his daughter-in-law Jennifer; his sister Helen Hatch; brothers Edward (Mary) and Joseph (Kathleen); granddaughters Jordyn Beatty, Marissa, Ava, and Ali Schmidt, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date in Delaware County, PA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association, or perform a random act of kindness in John’s memory.
