Joseph H. Radivoj
January 24, 1928 ~ July 17, 2014
On Thursday, July 17, 2014, Joseph H. Radivoj, Jr., 86, of Weirton, died peacefully at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV. Born on January 24, 1928 in Weirton, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph Harry and Louise Bower Radivoj, Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Frances Marie (Circoloff) Radivoj on October 19, 2010, granddaughter Sara Radivoj and sister, Ruth Larkin.
Joseph retired from Weirton Steel Corporation. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps of World War II and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. In his free time Joe enjoyed tinkering around in his workshop and telling stories of days gone bye.
He is survived by his son, Mark Joseph Radivoj (Cheryl Smith); daughters Cynthia Hess (Michael Koenig) all of Weirton and Dee Boni (Joseph Boni) of Steubenville, OH, and grandchildren Matthew Charles and Francesca Melody Boni; Chelsea Marie Hess and Mark Nicholas Radivoj.
In accordance with Joseph's wishes, his body was cremated by the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home. Private services will be held at the convenience of his family at the National Cemetery of the Alleghennies.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062 or Valley Hospice Liza's Place, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
