Joseph Paul Tokash

Joseph Paul Tokash of Weirton passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021. He was 75.
Joseph was born in Steubenville, OH, on June 30, 1945, the second of four children born to Joseph D. and Alice Morris Tokash.
Joseph graduated from Weirton Madonna High School in 1963. After high school, Joe went on to study to become an x-ray technologist.
On November 9, 1968, he married Norma Jean Almasy. They enjoyed over 50 years of marriage until her passing on August 25, 2019.
Joe worked for 43 years, retiring as a supervisor in the X-Ray Department of Weirton Medical Center and Norma worked as a loan officer for 34 years at First National Bank/ United Bank in Weirton. They enjoyed spending time with family, going on bus trips, and visiting Las Vegas.
Joe also enjoyed fishing with his brother Paul and playing bocce with the Fiedorczyk’s and his brother knights at the Knights of Columbus 3734.
Joe was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus 3734.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Norma, Joseph was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth “Doll” Maslowski, on January 1, 2012; and his niece, Tawny Lynn Maslowski, May 2, 2020.
He will be remembered with love by his brother, Paul Tokash, and his wife Donna; his sister, Charlotte Vargo, and her husband, George; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Church 200 Preston Avenue, Weirton.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Weirton.
