Josephine E. Guzzetta
April 15, 1910 ~ October 27, 2005
Josephine E. Guzzetta, 95, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born April 15, 1910 in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Travotta Guzzetta. Josephine was also preceded in death by her brothers Alfred, Alfonse, Matthew and Albert Guzzetta and sisters Caremella “Millie” Tronti and Jennie DiGiacinto.
Josephine retired from Phelps Can Company where she worked on the assembly line. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton.
Josephine’s survivors include her brother Dominic “Babe” Guzzetta and his wife Virginia of Weirton; sisters-in-law Libby Guzzetta of Steubenville, OH and Alberta Guzzetta of Weirton. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1-3 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Tony Thurston presiding. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery.
