Judy Martin Davis, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 29, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Elbert G. and Alma Green Martin and was one of two cherished daughters.
A 1964 graduate of Kingsbury High School in Memphis, TN, Judy devoted over 30 years of her life to the telecommunications industry, proudly serving as a loyal employee at Verizon.
Throughout her life, Judy found the greatest joy in spending time with her family. She created lasting memories fishing with her loving husband, Jerry, at Tygart Lake. She enjoyed special outings every Friday with her daughter, Melanie, where they would indulge in dinner and shopping.
Judy adored her granddaughters and shared a special bond with her grand dog, Bennie, who brought smiles and endless joy to her life.
A woman of faith, Judy was a believer in her Lord and Savior, who grounded her through life’s challenges. Her Southern roots remained strong as she embraced the melodies of Elvis Presley, a nod to her upbringing in Memphis. Judy shared a unique passion for BINGO with her sister, Blenda, often chasing the thrill of the game whenever they were reunited.
Judy’s love for Chinese cuisine highlighted her adventurous palate, bringing yet another layer to the nurturing spirit she embodied.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her son Eric Davis and sister Blenda Vaughan.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixty years, Jerry Davis, whom she married on December 9, 1965, daughters Tracey Hammad and Melanie (Chuck) Arrigo, and granddaughters Kera, Karlee, and Kacie Curry.
Judy’s request for cremation will be honored.
She will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. 26062.
There are no services planned at this time.
Judy Martin Davis will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family. May she rest in peace.
