June M. Ramer, 87, of Aliso Viejo, CA, formerly of Weirton, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Aliso Laguna Village. She was a resident of Orange County, CA for eight years, but had lived in Weirton most of her life.
She was born June 13, 1918 in Mogadore, OH, the daughter of the late John and Edith Weckerly Wheeland. June was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene R. Ramer on January 5, 2002 and daughter, Jeannie L. Ramer on September 27, 1957.
June was a member of the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church, held numerous offices in the Order of the Amaranth and served two terms as Royal Matron of Weirton Chapter 147 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Joyce and her husband, Michael Joyce of Dana Point, CA; two grandchildren Amy Joyce of Santa Monica, CA and Gregory Joyce of Steamboat Springs, CO; brother David Wheeland of Lake Wells, FL; niece Jennie Baney of Pittsburgh, PA and nephew Gilbert Espenchied of Burgettstown, PA.
Friends will be received on Sunday, September 18 from 1-3 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday with Reverend Pelton Vandercoy presiding. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton.
