Karen Sue Bonacci

Karen Sue Bonacci of Weirton, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the Weirton Medical Center. She was 78 years old. She was born in Steubenville, OH., on July 23, 1943, one of two daughters born to Charles and Rose Malone Yeater. Karen was a member of the 1961 graduating class of Weir High had worked as an agent for the American General Insurance Company. Her family described Karen as a very giving person, spiritual in her own way, and always willing to help people. In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling, working in her flower garden, and making friends with many animals along the way. Without a doubt, her greatest joy was spoiling and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Karen was additionally preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Upright. Left to cherish her memory with love are her adoring children, Gary (Shea) Bonacci of Weirton, Darren Bonacci of Burgettstown, PA., Carla (Paul) Slusarek of Weirton, grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Slusarek, Tessa Nadik, Xaveria Schreiner, Brooke Boni, Seth, and Aaron Bonacci, great-grandchildren, Chandon Slusarek, Jackson Nadik, Aubrielle Schreiner, Laiken, Conor, Cole Boni, and Milo Bonacci. Karen’s request for cremation has been honored. There are no services planned at this time.
