Kenneth James Carey

Kenneth James Carey, 72, formerly of Weirton, passed away September 28, 2019. He was born September 29, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late William and Anna Gallo Carey. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Frances Gallo; brother-in-law Charley Weaver and several aunts and uncles.
After attending St. Paul’s Elementary School, Kenneth attended Madonna High School and was a graduate of Weir High School. He was a former member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus 3734. For many years, he was involved with the Weirton Jaycees, Weir High marching band and the Boy Scouts. Until his retirement, he worked for Starvaggi Industries and, in 2016, Kenneth moved to Michigan to be closer to his family.
He is survived by his sister Gloria Weaver; nieces Gloria (Keith) Davis and Cherie (Joseph)Tieppo; great-niece Amanda Davis and great-nephews Ryan Johnson, Nicholas Davis, Hunter Tieppo and Joey Tieppo. Several aunts, uncles and cousins still live in the Weirton and Pittsburgh area.
Friends will be received Friday, November 8 from 7 - 9 PM at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 until the 11:00 AM Memorial Service at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church.

So sorry for your loss. I grew up across the street from Kenny. He was a good neighbor and a great friend! Missed talking to him when he moved from Elm Street. You are in my thoughts and prayers!
