Kevin Donald Truax of Weirton, loving husband, father, and brother passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. He was forty-seven years old.

He was born on June 1, 1976, one of seven born to Dallas E. and Mary Ann (Zias) Truax.

Kevin was a member of the Family of God Christian Center and the 1994 graduating class of Weir High School. He was employed as a laborer with the Wheeling Painters Union for several years.

He enjoyed Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey, fishing at Tomlinson Run State Park, riding roller coasters at Cedar Point, and loving the animals that he had.

Kevin above everything loved his children, Nicholas, Gianna, and Addison.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his brother Edward Truax, sister Michele Yergin, and brother-in-law William Yergin.

Remembering Kevin with love are his wife Megan McCullough Truax of Raleigh, NC., children Nicholas D’Angelo, Gianna Marie, and Addison Leeann Truax, all of Weirton, brothers Jeff (Kelly) Truax of Washington, PA., Richard Truax of Weirton, David Truax of Tiltonsville, Daniel (Paula) Truax of Weirton, and his significant other, MJ West of Weirton, and her children Omari West and Alisia Chandler.

Kevin’s request for cremation has been honored.

A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 3PM on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, with Pastor Craig Greathouse officiating.
