Larry Loreto Flati, 82, of Weirton, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville. Born August 7, 1934 in Weirton, he was a son of the late Fred and Mary (Pulice) Flati. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ellen (McCroskey) Flati; sons Larry and William Flati; daughter’s Deborah DeCollo and JoEllen Yoder; granddaughter Amanda and brother Alfred Flati. After over 35 years of service, Larry retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a yard master on the railroad. He was a member of the WSX 25 year club and he enjoyed playing bingo, hunting, fishing and gardening. Larry is survived by his sons, Michael Flati of New Cumberland and Roger Flati of Weirton; daughter’s Annette Harford of Weirton, Karen Haber of Steubenville, Patricia Carini of FL., Kathleen (James) Sterns of Huntington, WV, Mellissa Mastrantoni of Weirton and Tina Flati of Canton, OH; grandchildren Brittany, Alicia, Fernando Jr., Matthew, Josh, Karyn, Roger Jr., Christopher, Amy, Christina, Dennis as well as many others and several great-grandchildren; brother Fred (Elaine) Flati of Weirton and sister Florence (Redd) McGill of Weirton. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday. Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
