Laura Karpinski Paris
February 18, 1933 ~ December 7, 2014
Laura Karpinski Paris, 81, of Follansbee, WV passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born February 18, 1933 in New Cumberland, WV, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Karpinski and Angelina (Wojnar) Karpinski. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Paris, Sr. in 1989, daughter Laura M. "Birdie" Paris in 2013, brothers Edmund, Alex and William Karpinski, half-brother Eugene Kondus and half-sisters Irene and Hatti Kondus.
For many years, Laura served as crossing guard for Weirton Steel Corp and was Catholic by faith. Laura loved to crochet and cherished her family and friends. Her loving and caring ways will be missed by all.
Laura is survived by her sons John (Beverly), Joseph (Rebecca) and Paul (Shari) Paris; daughters Carol (Dave) Palcic, Mary (James) Kiernan, Vivian McAllister and Rosalie Sy; brother Ted Karpinski; sister Elenore Collins; half-brother Edwin Kondus; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 until the 8PM funeral service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. The Pastor Rudy McAllister will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

I\’m going to miss you Laura, you\’ve been my only true friend. To your family, I\’m so very sorry! She was such a good person. She loved all of you so much!

So sorry to hear of John’s grandmother passing. In the short time we have known John he always speaks with love about his grandmother. She must have been a truly remarkable woman. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Mom, you will be missed. Thank you for all the years of comfort, love and discipline. You have taught us all so much, especially how to love well. May you enjoy eternity with our dear sister Birdie, and all those who have gone on before us.
